Today we met up with the school again and went to paint another primary school around \moshi. We painted it blue so we were fairly blue too. Much less work than yesterday. in the afternoon we visited an orphanage for 0-5 yr olds just for about 45 minutes. Gabriella said the babies were cute. \the kids were all working hard on both projects. \tomorrow we go back to the school and put up cinder blocks and who knows what else. \the afternoon we will most likely go on a village tour with the program and after that we have no more scheduled activites. \met up with a family from \minnesota and might go to the orphanage again w/ them in the future.
We are all well and the kids are playing a lot of futball with the neighbors.

Till the next time we can get to a internet cafe.
love to all!

  1. Great to hear from you all. Sounds like you've kept yourselves busy so far. Hopefully you can find more volunteering to occupy you while Mark completes his tour of duty. Blake, Simone and Ally are all at grizzly Walton Sierra camp this week and I'm sure are loving it. We pick them up on Saturday and will stay in Tahoe for the weekend. They have only a three day turn around before they are off to camp Mary. In the meantime, Sophia, Michael and I are having a quiet week. I know Sophie misses the kids. I miss them too, but don't miss the bickering and the mess. Also trying to catch up on home to-dos during my babysitting time.

What are you eating? What is hour house like? Do you have an escort when you go out to the internet cafe? What is the city like? How are people viewing you?

I love hearing about your daily adventures so keep the postings coming as much as you can! Can you post any photos??

    Love,
    Suzanne

Hi Karen, good to hear from you. Mom checks your posts at her friend Peg's house on Monday and Thursdays. She would love to receive updates from you keeping those days in mind. (Where and how far is the internet cafe? Is it difficult to get there?)

She would like to know more about the work Mark is doing. Does he work every day? What is he treating? She is curious about where you buy your groceries and how the kids are liking the food, especially Luke.
What will you all do when you return to the orphanage?

I think that covers her specific questions. I've probably left something out though. She loves you.

    Mom
